This is a Guide for installing Psi using the Psi Windows Installer.

Download Psi
First of all, you need to download Psi from the Downloads Page. Make sure you download the installer, not the zip archive.
Installer Language
The Windows installer comes in multiple languages to accomodate users all over the world. Choose the appropriate language for you (or a language you understand).
Welcome
The installer will start in the language selected by you. Same language will also be used when uninstalling Psi.
License
You have to agree with the License Agreement.
Choose components to install
If you run the installer with administration rights, the installable shortcuts would be accessible for all users. This would be denoted by the "All Users" suffix in the shortcuts section.
You can install the following shortcuts:
- Desktop shortcut - places an icon to the Psi executable directly on the desktop
- QuickLaunch shortcut - places an icon to the Psi executable on the Quick Launch bar
You can also turn on Automatic startup when loggin in. Automatic startup is performed by placing a shortcut in the Startup Folder in the Start Menu. This offers total transparency and allows easy removal in the future. Psi does not offer an option in the user interface to turn on or off the autostart function. If you want to turn on automatic startup at a later time, feel free to create a shortcut to Psi in the Startup folder in the Start Menu.
If
- you have selected a language when you started the installer
- Psi also comes with a language pack for that language
the language pack will be automatically selected. On the right, you will see the default screen of the installer for French.
You can also choose to install other languages.
Path to install Psi
You can choose the location where the Psi files will be put.
By default, this is: C:\Program Files\Psi
Installing Psi
For a brief period, the installer will show the components which are installed, if you press the Details button.
Finish the installation
After finishing the installation, you can do several things:
- open the Readme
- start Psi immediately
